During our last fund drive one donor said this: "I love hymns ... If you asked for money, it means you need it! Please keep the work going. And please, accept my widow's mite. God bless you."

She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

So, before you close this box and move on to use the many resources on Hymnary.org, please prayerfully consider whether you might be able to make a gift to support our work. Amen, Amen! Jesus, eile

Representative Text

1 Amen, Amen! Jesus, eile,
Still' das Sehnen Deiner Braut.
Mächtiglich die Wolken teile,
Daß Dich unser Auge schaut!
Steige auf am Horizonte,
Morgenstern, durchbrich die Nacht!
O daß Deine Braut schon thronte
Dort mit Dir in Himmelspracht!

2 Amen, Amen! Brich Dein Schweigen,
Laß uns nicht getrennt mehr gehn,
Laß uns bald in sel'gen Reigen
Dort um Dich versammelt stehn.
Komm, Herr Jesu, komm behende,
Zeig' uns Deiner Liebe Macht!
Amen, Amen! O vollende,
Was Dein kostbar Blut gebracht!
