Representative Text

1 Are thy burdens very heavy,
Almost more than thou canst bear?
Take them to thy loving Saviour,
He His perfect strength will share.

Refrain:
Jesus, Jesus, blessed Jesus,
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
Thou canst heal the sick and weary,
Thou wilt take our ev’ry care.

2 Art thou sad and heavy-laden,
With the mem’ry of the sin?
Thou canst have a full, free pardon,
If thoul’t let the Saviour in. [Refrain]

3 Jesus seeks to gain admittance,
He has often sought before;
But the hinges have brown rusty,
And He finds a fast closed door. [Refrain]

4 Open wide the sin-barred entrance,
To this kind and heav’nly guest;
He the darkness soon will banish,
And will give thee perfect rest. [Refrain]
