As Christ our Saviour's gone before. G. Thring. [Ascension.] Written in 1863, and first published in his Hymns Congregational and Others, 1866, p. 42, and from thence has passed into the Uppingham School Hymn Book, the Hymnal Companion, Thring's Collection, &c. It is based upon the Collect for Ascension Day.
