Representative Text

1 As the moments fall there’s work for each and all,
Ev’ry act of love the Lord will bless;
Ev’ry thought and deed like springtime’s shining seed,
Will reap a harvest none could guess.

Refrain:
O the loving service each may render,
And how great the harvest as the years go by;
Then work, yes, work,
And the Lord shall send His blessing from on high;
O the loving service each may render,
And its pow’r for good can never, never die,
Then work away, O trust and pray,
He will send His blessing from on high,
Work on, work on, work on.

2 O there’s need today o’er shadows of life’s way,
For the helping hand, the kindly smile;
For the friendly cup of water lifted up
To cheer some trav’ler’s weary mile. [Refrain]

3 There is ever room for sunshine we can bring,
O that each would make life’s shadows less;
Ev’ry thought and deed like springtime’s shining seed,
Will reap a harvest none could guess. [Refrain]
