Representative Text

1 As we sing our parting song,
And its holy notes prolong,
Let our hearts fly unto him,
Who has cleansed our souls from sin.

Refrain:
Jesus, Savior,
Bless us as we part,
Fill our souls with love for thee,
Give us grace for days to be;
Keep, oh, keep us pure in heart,
Keep, oh, keep us pure in heart.

2 Savior, may our love o’erflow,
Unto sinners help us go;
May our words and kindly deeds
Prove our thought for others’ needs. [Refrain]

3 If the tempest comes our way,
We will look to God, our stay;
He will grant us needed pow’r
To resist in ev’ry hour. [Refrain]
