Hymnary Friends,

Please pardon this brief interruption, and please consider a gift today to support the work of Hymnary.org. Here's why.

Each month half a million people visit this website for free access to the most complete database of North American hymnody on the planet. But this project does not come without a cost, and we have limited sources of revenue. Twice a year we hold a fund drive, and these drives are critical to our future.

So if you benefit from Hymnary.org, would you consider a donation today? Even small amounts help, and they also let us know you're behind us and support what we do.

Click the Donate button below to be taken to a secure giving site. Or you can make your tax-deductible contribution by sending a check to Hymnary.org at 3201 Burton SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.

On behalf of the entire Hymnary.org team, our thanks.

At the judgment seat of Christ, my Savior

At the judgment seat of Christ, my Savior

Author: J. B. Lemon
Tune: [At the judgment seat of Christ, my Saviour]
Published in 1 hymnal

Representative Text

1. At the judgment seat of Christ, my Savior,
All the nations shall be called to stand;
And all people shall appear before Him,
On His left, or on His own right hand.

CHORUS
At the judgment where wilt thou appear?
Will it be on the right hand,
Will it be on the left hand?
At the judgment where wilt thou be found,
When before Him thou shalt stand?

2. He shall separate them like a shepherd,
Oh, what partings in that awful day!
“Come, ye blessed to the heav’nly mansions,
Go, ye cursed, from my throne away.” [CHORUS]

3. Loved ones on one side, and, on the other,
Weeping, as they part to meet no more,
God shall wipe away the tears of Christians,
As they pass thru heaven’s open door. [CHORUS]

4. At the judgment seat of Christ, my Savior,
When all nations shall be gathered there,
Wilt thou be upon His right hand, brother,
Evermore the bliss of heav’n to share? [CHORUS]
