Representative Text

1 Awake, awake, ye children of the Holy One!
Awake, awake, for dangers face us all!
The prince of night would overcome the “Lowly One!”
Awake, awake, and heed Jehovah’s call!

Refrain:
Awake, awake, ye sons of God, awake!
More labor must be done,
More battles must be won,
Awake, awake, and greater effort’s make,
Awake, ye sons of God, awake!

2 Awake, awake, His banner still is over us,
Awake, awake, to overcome the foe;
To shield from harm, His wings of love will cover us,
Awake, awake, the joy of vict’ry know. [Refrain]

3 Awake, awake, our great Commander calls to us!
Awake, awake, it is our Lord’s command;
Awake, and pray for strength and spirit quickening,
Awake, awake! the struggle is at hand! [Refrain]
