Representative Text

1 Be strong in Jehovah,
The mighty and grand;
The winds and the waves all
Obey His command;
O! trust in His promise
To comfort and cheer;
With Him to defend us,
There’s nothing to fear.

Refrain:
There’s nothing to fear,
Tho’ the tempest is near;
Be strong in Jehovah,
There’s nothing to fear.

2 Jehovah, who parted
The waves of the sea
His own to deliver,
Provideth for thee;
His infinite wisdom
Shall guide thee aright;
O! trust His protection;
O! lean on His might. [Refrain]

3 Be strong in Jehovah,
Creator and Friend,
He’ll bear thee through sorrow,
And when life shall end,
An heir to His kingdom
In love to abide;
Be strong in Jehovah,
Whatever betide. [Refrain]
