Representative Text

1 By the pow’r of the cross we shall conquer!
The cross where our Lord was crucified,
Where pardon was purchased for the guilty,
Where Christ for a world of sinners died.

Refrain:
By the pow’r of the cross we shall conquer!
And even now the song of vict’ry rings;
By the pow’r of the cross we shall conquer,
And all the world shall crown him King of kings.

2 By the pow’r of the cross we shall conquer!
And hearts shall in gladness crown him King;
Shall own him their Savior, Friend, Redeemer,
And unto the world his praises sing. [Refrain]

3 By the pow’r of the cross we shall conquer!
For who can resist the mighty love
That bent heaven down for our redemption,
And raised him in glory bright above? [Refrain]
