Representative Text

1 Call’d to service royal,
Strong in courage loyal,
Where the crimson banners go,
Follow on nor fear a foe;
Chosen for His glory,
Tell His wondrous story,
Called to serve a conqu’ring One,
We follow on.

Refrain:
Forward, then forward, for He shall be our stay;
Onward, then onward, we tread the kingly way;
Forward, then forward, to conquest shall He bring;
Onward, then onward still, the chosen of the King.

2 Call’d to joys unbounding,
Love is e’er surrounding,
Light of heav’nly hope divine,
O’er our path for aye shall shine;
Crowned with boundless blessing,
We His name confessing,
Called to joy that ne’er can dim,
We follow Him. [Refrain]

3 Call’d to crown immortal,
At the shining portal,
Till in heav’nly dwelling place,
We behold Him face to face;
Bright the hopes that cheer us,
God is ever near us,
Called to Him divine reward,
We serve our Lord. [Refrain]
