Representative Text

1 Cheer up, O believer, for the time is near:
The trumpet will soon be heard;
Be ready each moment, dry your falling tear:
Be ready to welcome your Lord.

Refrain:
He is coming again, surely coming again;
This same Jesus is coming again;
In the clouds He will appear,
And His coming draweth near,
He is coming forever to reign.

2 Cheer up, O believer, it will not be long:
Be watching and waiting here;
Be faithful in service, sing a joyful song:
The coming of Jesus draws near. [Refrain]

3 Cheer up, O believer, ’tis the victory hour:
We welcome the light of day;
The King of the ages soon will come in power,
To reign in His kingdom for aye. [Refrain]
