Representative Text

1 Christ is born in Bethlehem,
Peace to bring and strife to stem;
Tell it over hills and dells,
Merry, merry Christmas bells.

Refrain:
Merry, merry Christmas bells!
Hear them strike their tuneful swells,
Ringing out in joyous mirth,
Carols of the Saviour’s birth.

2 Glory be to God on high,
Sang the angels hov’ring nigh;
And the echo of their song
Bells and voices shall prolong. [Refrain]

3 Down to earth He came to dwell,
Christ the King, Immanuel;
Tell it out from shore to shore,
Merry, merry bells, once more. [Refrain]
