Representative Text

1 Conquer the world by kindness,
Smiles will disarm the foe,
Hearts that are hard and stony,
Melt in their sunny glow;
Gladden the lives of others,
Brighten the passing days,
Wiping the tears of sorrow,
Waking a song of praise.

Chorus:
Conquer by kindness,
Gladden each passing day,
Scatter like sunshine,
Smiles over life’s rough way,
Conquer by kindness,
Gladden each passing day,
Scatter like sunshine,
Smiles over life’s rough way.

2 Conquer the world by kindness,
Mercy can win a friend,
Words that are sweet and gentle,
Into a song will blend;
Over the world ‘twill echo,
Telling of love and peace,
Hushing the sounds of conflict,
Bidding earth’s warfare cease. [Chorus]

3 Conquer the world by kindness,
Sadness and sin appall,
Carry a ray of comfort,
Down where the shadows fall;
Love has a pow’r unfailing,
Over the strongest foe,
Scatter the smiles around you,
Lighten another’s woe. [Chorus]
