Prayer for oneness

Representative Text

1 Dear Lord, we join with Thee in pray'r,
That all Thy people be
Both sanctified in holy truth,
And perfected in Thee.

Refrain:
Yes, perfected in Thee,
Yes, perfected in Thee;
One fold, one Shepherd– sanctified
And perfected in Thee.

2 Long have the pow'rs of hell prevailed
Believers to divide;
But now we pray for grace to stand
In oneness on Thy side. [Refrain]

3 Dear Lord, we join with Thee in pray'r,
For oneness in Thy fold;
Give us the faith of Christ alone,
As had the saints of old. [Refrain]

4 Let not the pride of human creeds,
Scatter Thy sheep abroad;
Baptize them in the Holy Ghost,
And make them one in God. [Refrain]
