Dios eterno, en tu presencia Nuestros siglos horas son

Representative Text

1 Dios eterno, en tu presencia
Nuestros siglos horas son,
Y un segundo la existencia
De la actual generación,
Mas el hombre que a tu lado
Quiere ya volar con fe,
En su curso prolongado
Lento el tiempo siempre ve.

2 Otro año ha fenecido
Que la vida ya acortó,
Y el descanso apetecido
Poco más se aproximó.
Gracias mil por tus mercedes
Hoy tu iglesia, Dios, te da;
Y pues todo Tú lo puedes,
Tu poder nos mantendrá.

3 Tú proteges las familias
Visitando cada hogar;
¡Oh Señor!, si nos auxilias,
¿Qué nos puede aquí faltar?
Por doquier que te ame el hombre
Y te sirva haciendo el bien,
Sea, ¡oh Dios¡, tu santo nombre
Ensalzado siempre. Amén.
