Published in 3 hymnals

Representative Text

1 Down at the cross where the Saviour died,
Low at the feet of the crucified,
Helpless and faint to the Lamb I cry,
Oh, save me or I die!

Chorus:
Down at the cross where the Saviour died,
Down at the cross is the blood applied;
Glory to God, for His own dear Son,
Who died for souls undone!

2 Nothing to bring to the Son of God,
Nothing can save but the precious blood;
Humbly I cry to the blessed Lamb,
Oh, take me as I am! [Chorus]

3 Down at the cross, may the sin-sick soul
Find rest and peace with a heart made whole;
Come then and kneel at the Saviour's feet,
Come find a joy complete. [Chorus]
