Draw Near to God

Representative Text

1 Draw near to God in the morning,
And thus begin the day,
Nor venture forth to your labors
Until you pause to pray.

Refrain:
Draw near to God in the morning,
And at the noon of day;
Draw near to God in the evening;
O wait, take time to pray.

2 Draw near to God in the noontide;
Lay down your toil and care;
The world must wait on the spirit;
At noon take time for prayer. [Refrain]

3 Draw near to God in the evening;
For His kind care at night;
Commit yourself to His keeping,
And nothing shall affright. [Refrain]
