Gospel Victory March

Representative Text

1 Ever, ever onward, banners flying,
Pressing to the conflict, "Vict'ry!" crying;
Trusting in the Lord, hell's hosts defying,
On to meet the foe we bravely go.

Refrain:
Onward, onward, onward, bravely onward,
Christ our Captain goes before us,
Truth's bright flag is floating o'er us,
Vict'ry! vict'ry! vict'ry glorious
Shall be ours thro' Christ our King!

2 Ever, ever onward, sins forgiven,
Pilgrims in the earth, our homes in heaven;
Walking in the Spirit God hath given;
On to meet the foe in Christ we go. [Refrain]

3 Ever, ever onward, Jesus, leading,
Helping ev'ry soul with grace exceeding,
Naught in earth or hell our march impeding,
On to meet the foe in faith we go. [Refrain]

4 Ever, ever onward, all united;
Happy in the Lord, our wrongs all righted;
Glory in our view, nor duty slighted,
On to meet the foe we daily go. [Refrain]
