Representative Text

1. Faint not, weary pilgrim,
Faint not by the way,
Listen to your Saviour
What does Jesus say?
"Ever as thy day is
So thy strength shall be;
Let not courage fail thee,
I have pray'd for thee."

Chorus:
Jesus prays, He prays for thee,
Jesus prays, He prays for thee.
Jesus prays, He prays for thee.
O, never be disheartened,
Jesus prays for thee, for thee.

2. What tho' sore temptations
Meet you in the way,
Fear not, humble Christian,
Drive your fears away.
In thy tribulations
Look to Calvary;
Hear your dying Saviour
Praying still for thee." [Chorus]

3. How these words of comfort
Heavenly joy impart!
May they be forever
Stamped upon my heart.
Blessed consolation,
Naught so sweet can be
As the words of Jesus
"I have prayed for thee." [Chorus]
