Representative Text

1 Fervent in spirit, serving the Lord:
Filled with the strength of His merciful Word,
Hearts full of zeal to accomplish His will,
Souls that are burning their task to fulfill,
Fervent with power supplied from above,
Eager to drink from His fountain of love.

2 Fervent in spirit, serving the Lord:
Feeling the strength which His mercies afford,
Humly extolling the wealth of His grace,
Basking with joy in the light of His face,
Eager to serve where His hand may direct,
Anxious to find what our work may effect.

3 Fervent in spirit, serving the Lord:
Not for world's gain or the hope of reward,
Only to minister, humble and meek,
Only in all things His glory to seek,
Living tot labor that others may live,
Ready to love and to serve and to give.
