And They Shall See His Face

Representative Text

1 For me my Father calls;
The gates of peace I've found,
And sweetly, o'er the jasper walls,
His words of promise sound.
I long to know my Lord;
I trust his wondrous grace;
And so I love this blessed word,
"And they shall see his face."

Chorus:
"And they shall see his face,
And they shall see his face."
And so I love this blessed word,
"And they shall see his face."

2 Thy works, how fair they are,
In sea, and land, and sky;
But oh, beyond their beauty, far,
I look with longing eye.
My Father dear thou art
I seek thy dwelling place;
Oh, keep thy promise in my heart,
"And they shall see his face."

Chorus:
"And they shall see his face,
And they shall see his face."
Oh, keep thy promise in my heart,
"And they shall see his face."

3 I hear the Savior say,
Upon the mount, to me,
The pure in heart are blest, for they
The Lord shall surely see.
Oh, clasp my hand in Thine;
My feet thy paths shall trace;
Cleanse thou my eyes, oh, love divine,
"And they shall see his face."

Chorus:
And they shall see his face,
And they shall see his face,
Cleanse thou mine eyes, Oh, love divine,
And they shall see his face.
