For Thy Great Love, O Lord

1 For thy great love, O Lord, we will adore Thee;
Grant that in charity we walk before Thee,
Complying with the word of Christ, our Brother,
Love one another.

2 Grant that with tender and sincere affection,
Our neighbor's joy we see and his affliction,
And that we willing be to those who suffer
Relief to offer.

3 Grant that we able be to help the needy,
That to forgiveness, Lord, our hearts be speedy,
And that we show our erring brother kindly
The way to find Thee.

4 We know, O Lord, that Thou dost here behold us,
And we remember well that Thou hast told us,
That what we thus our brother give, is given
To Thee in heaven.
