Representative Text

1 From out of love’s mountain there’s flowing a fountain
Of water so sparkling and clear;
The spring of salvation, ‘twill bless ev’ry nation;
Come, drink, for the fountain is near.

Refrain:
Oh, come to the fountain, ‘tis flowing today,
The fountain of love, from heaven above;
Oh, drink of the water, come, do not delay,
But drink of the fountain of love.

2 With spray white and gleaming, O’er pebbles ‘tis streaming;
‘Twill bring hope and joy if you drink;
Your faith it will strengthen; your life it will lengthen;
Then hasten and come to its brink. [Refrain]

3 ‘Tis free and no danger from foe or from stranger
Can harm you while seeking the place;
A path strewn with roses, where beauty reposes,
Leads up to this fountain of grace. [Refrain]
