Representative Text

1 Girded for battle our forces we bring,
Fearless and faithful to follow our King;
Ready the legions of evil to brave,
Trusting our Leader, the Mighty to save.

Refrain:
Victory! victory! this our acclaim,
Victory! victory! praise to His name;
Sing till the ransom’d that watch from the sky,
Send back the answer, “Your triumph is nigh.”

2 Girded for battle our pathway is clear,
Since He is for us no danger we fear,
Legions can never His soldiers enslave,
He, our Commander, is mighty to save. [Refrain]

3 Girded for battle, now on, to the field,
Truth is our watchword and faith is our shield,
Fierce tho’ the conflict its peril we’ll brave,
He, our Deliv’rer, is mighty to save. [Refrain]
