Representative Text

1 Grandly our host is marching,
And loud our song of joyous victory is ringing!
Christ is our great Commander,
And at His marching orders on we go with singing.
Ev’ry land shall our song reecho,
And, by the grace He gives us, ev’ry nation shall sing praise,
Shall own our Lord, accept His word,
And unto Him the voice of supplication raise.

Refrain:
Onward we go with singing,
Our message ringing,
His kingdom nearer bringing;
Outward the gates are swinging,
That all the world may enter in:
Yes, Onward with prayer and weeping
Our ranks are sweeping,
Our faithful watches keeping;
On, till the fruits of reaping
Are garnered from the fields of sin.

2 Faith is our daily watchword,
Our hope, the promise of His word that never faileth;
Trusting confiding, serving,
In ev’ry time of need His love and care availeth.
Blessed Master, we hear Thee calling,
And with our battle-cry of “Loyalty” we march along;
Come weal or woe, we’ll onward go,
Until in heav’n at last we sing the victor’s song. [Refrain]
