The Sun Bright Clime

1. Have you ever heard the story
of that far off sun-bright clime,
Where no shades of night e'er gather,
it is sunlight all the time?
'Tis the presence of our Saviour
who with radiance beaming bright,
Throws a brightness o'er the city
in our home beyond the night.

Oh, then take me to that clime,
Saviour, take me, I am thine;
When my lifework is all over,
And I've come down to the border,
Saviour take me, take me to that sun-bright clime.

2. Is your heart in Jesus' keeping,
are you robed in spotless white,
Are your vessels filled with oil,
and your lamps all trimmed aright?
Have you on the wedding garment
that insures an entrance bright?
For no darkness ever enters
in the sun-bright land of light. [Chorus]

3. Are we resting on his promise?
He will light our ev'ry way,
Over mountains, in the valley,
thro' his grace he'll with us stay.
With his own soft hand he'll lead us,
and we then can never stray,
On, and on to sun-bright Eden,
to the land of endless day. [Chorus]

4. I am waiting for the breaking
of that glorious sunlit morn,
When I'll see the Rock of Ages,
midst the rays of early dawn;
And the loved ones he'll bring with him,
who so long in death have lain,
And we'll rise to be with Jesus,
