The Convert's Prayer

1 Heavenly Father keep me from sin,
Hold me when tempted, help me to win.
Fierce be the struggle, I shall not fall
Steadfastly trusting one above all.

2 Weak is my nature, strong Son of God;
Bearer of burdens, carry my load.
Walk with me daily, Thy love instill,
Shape me and mould me after Thy will.

3 Wilful and wayward, tending to roam;
Friend of the sinner, shepherd me home;
Home to those priceless glories untold;
Guide me and lead me up to Thy fold.

4 Lord, I surrender, accepting Thee
As my own Saviour who died for me.
Matchless Redeemer, wonderful Friend,
Hold me and keep me true till the end.
