During our last fund drive one donor said this: "I love hymns ... If you asked for money, it means you need it! Please keep the work going. And please, accept my widow's mite. God bless you."

She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

So, before you close this box and move on to use the many resources on Hymnary.org, please prayerfully consider whether you might be able to make a gift to support our work. Herr, Deine ewge Herrlichkeit

Representative Text

1 Herr, Deine ewge Herrlichkeit
ist unsers Lebens Ziel.
Hier stehn wir Dir zum Dienst bereit
von nah und fern in Einigkeit
so, wie es Dir gefiel,
so, wie es Dir gefiel.

2 Mach den Nationen rings bekannt
Dein lebensstarkes Wort!
Herr, segne, die Du ausgesandt,
in jedem noch so fernen Land;
sei ihnen Fels und Hort!
Sei ihnen Fels und Hort!

3 Und die am Werk wir betend stehn,
erfülle auch mit Kraft;
laß, Herr, Dein Wort zu Herzen gehn,
und Lebenswunder laß geschehn,
wie nur Dein Geist sie schafft!
Wie nur Dein Geist sie schafft!

4 Auf Deine ewge Herrlichkeit,
Herr Jesus, warten wir;
mach alle uns dafür bereit
und offenbar sie weit und breit!
Komm bald! Dich preisen wir.
Komm bald! Dich preisen wir.
