Representative Text

1 His love and grace I found,
Since Jesus made me whole,
And all my sins the Saviour put away;
And glory now abounds,
In billows o’er my soul,
I never lov’d Him better than today.

Refrain:
I never lov’d Him better than today,
I love the good old straight and narrow way;
And glory fills my soul,
Since Jesus made me whole,
I never lov’d Him better than today.

2 I’ve left the paths of sin,
The world and all its charm,
And now I’m on the good old-fashioned way;
I’ve peace and joy within;
I’m safe from all alarm,
I never lov’d Him better than today. [Refrain]

3 I’ll serve Him here below,
Thro’ all life’s fleeting years,
For soon the Lord will come in bright array;
But this one thing I know,
That fills my heart with cheer,
I never lov’d Him better than today. [Refrain]
