Representative Text

1 Hold thou my hands!
In grief or joy, in hope or fear,
Lord, let me feel that thou art near,
hold thou my hands,
hold thou my hands.

2 Hold thou my hands!
In fullness or in emptiiness,
Lord, comfort me in my distress,
hold thou my hands,
hold thou my hands.

3 Hold thou my hands!
In solitude or company,
Lord, at my side for ever be,
hold thou my hands,
hold thou my hands.

4 Hold thou my hands!
At every hour, in life or death,
Lord, be to me as close as breath,
hold thou my hands,
hold thou my hands.
