Representative Text

1 I am coming, Lord, to Thee, with a trembling heart,
I am coming with my soul distrest;
To Thy promise now I fly,
Leave, oh, leave me not to die,
I am coming, Lord, to Thee, for rest.

Refrain:
Coming, Lord, to Thee,
Coming, Lord, to Thee;
Coming with my soul distrest,
I am coming, I am coming,
I I am coming, Lord, to Thee for rest.

2 I am coming, Lord, to Thee, with my load of sin,
I am coming, weary, faint, and sore;
Tho’ I’ve slighted oft Thy grace,
And have turned from Thee my face,
I am coming, Lord, to roam no more. [Refrain]

3 I am coming, Lord, to Thee, but my faith is weak,
I am coming, wilt Thou hear my cry?
I have heard Thy gracious call,
At Thy loving feet I fall,
I am coming, tho’ I faint and die. [Refrain]
