Representative Text

1 I am so happy in Jesus, my Lord,
Traveling home, traveling home;
Led by His Spirit and trusting His word,
Traveling home with God.
Happy, yes, happy, by night and by day,
O praise His name, I am so glad to say,
Traveling home in the old fashioned way,
Traveling home with God.

2 Happy the pilgrim who walks in this way,
Traveling home, traveling home;
Christ is his Comfort, his Hope and his Stay,
Traveling home with God.
Brighter and brighter, the pathway doth shine,
Deeper and deeper the peace that is mine;
Peace passing knowledge and joy that’s sublime,
Traveling home with God.

3 Walking like Enoch in fellowship sweet,
Traveling home, traveling home;
Praising the Lord for His union complete,
Traveling home with God.
Onward and upward I march to the goal,
In that blest Eden, the home of the soul;
While I am walking, the joy billows roll,
Traveling home with God.
