Representative Text

1 I hear the sweeping of the storm,
I see the rising wave,
But evil cannot do me harm;
The One I trust will save.

Chorus:
My Lord abides!
My Lord abides!
And in His strength my weakness hides;
I trust in Him, whate'er betides,
My blessed Lord abides.

2 The foe is near on ev'ry hand,
Yet courage fills my heart;
For with my Lord I shall withstand,
And quench the fiery dart. [Chorus]

3 He is my armor strong and whole,
His wondrous peace is mine;
I know my Lord will keep my soul
By might and pow'r divine. [Chorus]
