Representative Text

1 I long for that beautiful, beautiful home,
Where God in His glory now sits on His throne,
Where saints in pure worship before Him do bend,
And glad hallelujahs its wide portals rend.

Chorus:
Home beautiful home,
Bright, beautiful home,
I long for the peace and the glad sweet release
Of that home, beautiful home.

2 I long for that beautiful home now on high,
Where sorrow and sighing can never draw nigh,
Where naught that defileth can e’er enter in,
And I shall be free from the temptings of sin. [Chorus]

3 At home on that shining and beautiful shore,
Life’s troubles and trials can reach me no more;
The toil and the care of the heat of the day
To rest and sweet peace shall forever give way. [Chorus]

4 The crucified, risen and glorified Son,
I’ll meet in that bright and that beautiful home,
With joy I shall shout as with angels I sing,
All glory to God and to Jesus our King. [Chorus]
