Representative Text

1 I may not see the reason for my tears,
But all is well for God directs my way;
I know that o’er the fleeting shadowed years,
The light of truth and love illumed each day.

Refrain:
I may not see but God is love I know,
The storms may beat, but I will trusting go;
Some day at last when I have found sweet rest,
I’ll see and know that all God’s ways were best.

2 The prize I hope to gain may not be mine,
Yet strive I must until the night shall come;
The sun for me may oft refuse to shine,
But I must journey onward t’ward my home. [Refrain]

3 I may not reach the summits that I seek,
Yet upward, t’ward the light my soul must climb;
The daily tasks I do, the words I speak,
Are stepping stones that scale the hills of time. [Refrain]
