Representative Text

1 I never fear when night is near
And hard the hill to climb;
Enough for me if I but see
Just one step at a time.
(Just one step, just one step at a time.)

Chorus:
Just one step at a time,
(Just one step, one step at a time,)
Just one step at a time;
(Just one step, one step at a time;)
Enough for me if I but see
Just one step at a time.

2 Assured that He will care for me,
I'll trust His love sublime,
And press along, with sigh, or song,
Just one step at a time.
(Just one step, just one step at a time.) [Chorus]

3 His way I choose and shall not lose
The path to that fair clime,
For He will show the way to go,
Just one step at a time.
(Just one step, just one step at a time.) [Chorus]

4 My trusting soul will reach the goal,
And hear the home bells chime,
Tho' I but see, make bright for me,
Just one step at a time.
(Just one step, just one step at a time.) [Chorus]
