Almost Too Good to Be True

Representative Text

1 I was full of sin, Now I'm pure within;
It is almost too good to be true;
Jesus heard my cry, did not pass me by;
It is almost too good to be true.

Refrain:
I sometimes think it's almost too good to be true,
It's almost too good to be true,
It's almost too good to be true.
I sometimes think it's almost too good to be true;
That I am saved and on my way to glory.

2 Now the carnal mind has been left behind;
It is almost too good to be true;
The "old man" is gone, let him travel on;
It is almost too good to be true. [Refrain]

3 I am poor on earth, but of royal birth;
It is almost too good to be true;
I have wealth untold, more than earth can hold;
It is almost too good to be true. [Refrain]

4 I have liberty and such victory;
It is almost too good to be true;
And in ev'ry test I am always blest;
It is almost too good to be true. [Refrain]

5 This is not my sphere, heav'n is drawing near;
It is almost too good to be true;
Soon I'll say "goodby," mounting thro' the sky;
It is almost too good to be true. [Refrain]
