Representative Text

1 I was lost in sin when I heard Him say,
By the blood, the precious blood,
You shall see the light of eternal day,
By the blood, the precious blood.

Refrain:
Blessed tho’t! my soul is saved
By the blood, the precious blood!
I will tell it to the world,
Christ has saved me by the blood.

2 Oh, the happy day when He cleansed my soul,
By the blood, the precious blood,
How I felt the pow’r when He made me whole,
By the blood, the precious blood. [Refrain]

3 I am saved by grace, Jesus did it all,
By the blood, the precious blood,
He will save all who on His name doth call,
By the blood, the precious blood. [Refrain]

4 I am walking now in the blessed way,
By the blood, the precious blood,
All my night is turned into perfect day,
By the blood, the precious blood. [Refrain]
