Ich will dem Herren, meinem Gott, lobsingen. [Thanksgiving.] Included, as No. 564, in Freylinghausen's Neues geistreiches Gesang-Buch, 1714, in 14 stanzas of 2 lines. Translated as:—
(1) "I'll sing unto my God, the Lord of nature," as No. 679, in pt. i. of the Moravian Hymn Book, 1754. (2) "To Thee, the Lord of all, I'll humbly sing," as No. 1103 in the Supplementof 1808 to the Moravian Hymn Book, 1801 (1886, No. 654). [Rev. James Mearns, M.A.]
