Representative Text

1 If you are weary of sin, there is rest,
Under the cross, under the cross;
There the poor wand’rer is happy and blest,
Under the cross of Calvary.

Refrain:
Under the cross where my Savior died,
Close I will stay by His wounded side,
Forevermore there to abide,
Under the cross of Calvary.

2 If you would taste of His soul-cleansing grace,
Under the cross, under the cross,
There you must kneel and look up in His face,
Under the cross of Calvary. [Refrain]

3 If you need comfort and faith to go on,
Under the cross, under the cross,
There the great battle of life can be won,
Under the cross of Calvary. [Refrain]
