Representative Text

1. If you would find the better land,
If you would reach the golden strand,
There to abide with Heaven’s throng,
Singing the everlasting song,

Refrain
Go by the way of the cross,
Go by the way of the cross,
Go by the way of the cross,
And you’ll reach home.

2. If you would reach the city gate,
Where many dear ones watch and wait,
Looking for you, with eyes of love,
Waiting to hear from you above, [Refrain]

3. If you would live in that glad place,
Where shall be crowned the saved by grace,
If you would rest forever there,
Always so happy and so fair, [Refrain]
