Representative Text

1 In the hour of trouble, it is sweet to have a friend,
Some one who is always glad a helping hand to lend;
One upon whose faithfulness we ever may depend;
Such a friend is always found in Jesus.

Chorus:
He loves ev'rybody, He loves you;
He loves ev'rybody, you should too;
There will never be a friend more true;
He loves ev'rybody, He loves you.

2 When the storm is sweeping, and the world seems most unjust,
When some great misfortune comes and fail you think you must,
There's a strong Defender we my safely, surely trust;
Such a friend is always found in Jesus. [Chorus]

3 When our souls are tempted, when we reach the sinking sand,
And our hearts are longing for a kind, uplifting hand
Looking for a Helper who will give us strength to stand;
Such a friend is always found in Jesus. [Chorus]
