Representative Text

1 In the light of truth eternal
I approach my Lord;
I accept his proffered mercy,
Trusting in his word.

Refrain:
Gladly my voice shall echo his praises,
Jesus the King of kings,
Joy in its fullness, peace in abundance,
Unto my heart he brings.

2 Tongue and pen have ne’er depicted
Matchless love divine;
Wondrous thought, sublimer, deeper,
Than we can define. [Refrain]

3 In beholding there the nail prints,
Looking on his side,
Tears of love and joy I mingle,
That for me he died. [Refrain]

4 I have heard his “whosoever,”
And, among that throng,
Will, thro’ one eternal morrow,
Sing redemption’s song. [Refrain]
