During our last fund drive a donor said this: "Covid-19 rules prevent us from singing during my husband's burial service, so we will play the tune while we read the printed words or hum along with the music." Needless to say, this testimony struck us and stuck with us. We never know on any given day how Hymnary.org will be a blessing to people, but we know that around the world, the site is making a powerful difference in the lives of many.

Thanks to all who use Hymnary.org and all who support it with gifts of time, talent and treasure. If you feel moved to support our work today with a gift of any amount and a word of encouragement, we would be grateful.

What though my joys and comfort die?
The Lord my savior liveth.
What though the darkness gather round?
Songs in the night he giveth.

Representative Text

1 In the ranks of Christ we stand
With the Savior’s noble band,
Joining with them hand in hand
To defend the truth and right
Touched by holy heavenly love,
“In His name” we forward move.
Praying to our God above
To aid us with His might.

In the ranks of Christ we stand
With the Savior’s noble band,
Joining with them hand in hand
To defend the truth and right!

2 To the homes of want and woe,
To the weary here below,
Some in Jesus’ name must go,
Thinking not of wealth or fame;
There for Jesus they must stand,
Lending all a “helping hand,”
Thus fulfilling Christ’s command,
The gospel to proclaim. [Refrain]

3 O the blessed Lord of light,
From yon palaces of white
Giving courage in the fight
To the soldiers true and brave.
We will serve Him here below,
“In His name” still forward go,
Till the world His love shall know,
And Jesus’ power to save. [Refrain]
