1 In the valiant Christian army, march, march along!
Thinking never of retreat, march along!
Onward ever, doubting never, march, march along!
Holding high the banner of the King.

Refrain:
Marching, marching, though the foe be strong,
Marching in God’s service ever;
Marching, marching, with a heart of song,
Helping win His battles day by day.
Marching, marching, though the foe be strong,
Onward in God’s service ever,
Marching, marching, with a heart of song,
Winning vict’ry day by day.

2 In the valiant Christian army, march, march along!
God is o’er you, do not fear, march along!
Strength He’ll lend you, to defend you, march, march along!
Mighty is the army He doth lead. [Refrain]

3 In the valiant Christian army, march, march along!
Turn not from the coming foe, march along!
Onward singing, courage bringing, march, march along!
See, His ranks are gaining hour by hour. [Refrain]
