1 Jeg er frelst og dyrekjøbt
Og til Saligheden døbt,
I det Guddomsnavn, hvorved
Alle Knæ skal knæle ned;
Jet er talt blandt Hellige,
Og iført min Frelsere
Bed hans Aands Meddeleise.

2 Faderen har naaderig
For sit Barn erklæret mig;
Min korsfæsted' Kjærlighed
Vøiede sit Hoved ned,
Og velsignede min Sjæl;
Gjennem Tidens Ve og Vel
Er hans Aand min Trøst og Del.

3 Fuld af sønlig Kjærlighed
Har jeg gjort min Gud min Ed,
Med in Styrkes Gud i Pagt,
Vil jeg da ved Herrens Magt
Føre, mens jeg lever her,
Troens Skjold og Aandens Sværd
Imod Satans Gjerninger.

4 Gud, det er min Trøst og Fred,
At din Pagt den varer ved.
O Forbarmer, du som veed
Faldne Sjæles Usselyed,
glider jeg paa Dydens Bei,
Kast mig da Algodhed, ei
Fra dit Aasyn hort–o nei!

5 Døbt, ved Daaben igjenfød,
Levende i Kristi Død,
Møder jeg og ofrer dig,
Gud, min store Skaber, mig!
Ræk min Afmagt Almagts Haand,
Hellige mit Liv, min Aand,
Til min Tro faar Overhaand!

6 Vig, o Mørkets Fyrste, vig!
Du har ingen Del i mig.
Sjælen er af synden krænkt,
Men med Jesu blod besprængt.
Vig, hver syndig Lyst herfra!
Jeg har svoret Jehova
Med et evigt, helligt: Ja!

7 Fader, Søn og Helligaand,
Giv mit Forsæt Overhaand!
Hold mig ved din Naademagt
Altid i min Daabes Pagt!
Saa skal jeg–o Kjærlighed,
Som jeg dør og lever ved,
Love dig i Evighed1
