We don't often ask for money. Just twice a year. This is one of those times.

So, please, before you hit the "close" button on this box, would you consider a donation to keep Hymnary.org going?

In April 2020, according to Google Analytics, our Hymnary website had roughly 1.5 million sessions from approximately 1 million users. Both numbers were up 40% from April 2019. Amazing. And what a blessing! But it is expensive to serve all of these people -- worship leaders, hymnologists, hymn lovers and more -- people like you who love hymns.

And we have limited sources of revenue. This fund drive is one critical source.

So if you benefit from Hymnary.org, would you please consider a donation today? Even small amounts help, and they also let us know you're behind us and support what we do.

You can make your tax-deductible contribution by sending a check to Hymnary.org at 3201 Burton SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, or you can click the Donate button below.

1 Jeg løfter høit til Herrens Borg
Mit Syn, naar jeg er stedt i Sorg,
Naar al min Trøst forsvunden er,
Til Gud am Hjælp er min Begjær;
Jeg tror paa hannem visselig,
Han vil og kan forsvare mig.

2 Paa megen Styrke, Magt og Mod,
Paa Rigdom, Venner, Visdom god
Vil Verdens Børn forlade sig,
Paa min Gud jeg fortrøster mig,
Han haver Himmel skabt og Jord,
Han hjælper mig efter sit Ord.

3 Frygt Gud, saa skal du stadig staa,
Din Fod skal dig ei glide fra,
Dit Kors dig Meen ei gjøre skal
Og føre dig i Syndefald;
Gud holder dig paa Sandheds Sti,
Der skal du vander frisk og fri.

4 Den Gud, som vogter dig saa vel,
Han, som bevarer Israel,
Han sover ikke nogen Tid.
Han slumrer ei, men med stor Flid
Hans Øine altid aabne staar,
Ser til, at du ei Skade faar.

5 Gud Herren er din Frelser sand,
Og hvad din Haand udrette kan
I Embed dit udi Guds Navn,

Vil Herren selv dig frelse fra;
Og skal du græde Kinden vaad,
Til Glæde vender Gud din Graad.

7 Skal du end lide Sorg og Nød,
Og det saa varer til din Død,
Da tænk, det salig Ende faar,
Naar du til Gud fra Verden gaar,
Din Sjæl ta'r han i godt Forvar,
Da er den glemt den Sorg, du bar.

8 Naar du gaar ind, naar du gaar ud,
Hvad som du gjør efter hans Bud,
Hvad Tid det er, og paa hvad Sted,
Sin Trygge Gud dig giver med,
At han er din Beskjermer blid,
Og hjælper dig til evig Tid.
