Representative Text

1 Jesus Christ, the mighty one is passing by,
To Him your vow renew, and ever then be true
In His blessed service,
For it sweeter grows,
Sweeter as the years go by.

Refrain:
Sweeter as the years go drifting by,
Sweeter as the years go drifting by,
Working for my Saviour sweeter grows.
Sweeter as the years go by.

2 Show'rs of blessing now are falling from on high,
Refreshing souls anew for work they need to do
In the Master's precious name
Which sweeter grows,
Sweeter as the years go by. [Refrain]

3 If you have a loved one, or a friend so dear
Now wandering away, go bring them back today,
Make your life a blessing
That will sweeter grow,
Sweeter as the years go by. [Refrain]
