Representative Text

1 Jesus loves us like a friend,
And will love us to the end;
We have no other friend like Jesus;
With an everlasting love, Which He gave His life to prove;
We have no other friend like Jesus;

Refrain:
Like Jesus, like Jesus,
We have no other friend like Jesus.
Like Jesus, like Jesus,
We have no other friend like Jesus.

2 Heaven's glory He denied,
Came and for the sinner died;
We have no other friend like Jesus;
Bravely bore Jehovah's wrath,
Pouring out His soul to death;
We have no other friend like Jesus. [Refrain]

3 Do we treat Him as He would?
Do we love Him as we should?
We have no other friend like Jesus;
If we heed His blest commands,
Then we are the Saviour's friends.
We have no other friend like Jesus. [Refrain]

4 Let us on the altar lie,
Let us for the Saviour die,
We have no other friend like Jesus;
Let us not His Spirit grieve,
Let us all our treasures give,
We have no other friend like Jesus. [Refrain]

5 He will make our service sweet,
If we'll bow low at His feet,
We have no other friend like Jesus;
He will keep us one and all,
Nor shall evil us befall,
We have no other friend like Jesus. [Refrain]

6 Do you love Him, oh my friend?
Do you on His arm depend?
We have no other friend like Jesus;
He is worthy of your trust,
Cleave no longer to the dust,
We have no other friend like Jesus. [Refrain]

7 Glory, glory to His name!
Glory to the dying Lamb!
We have no other friend like Jesus;
Saints and angels Him adore,
Sing His praises evermore,
We have no other friend like Jesus. [Refrain]
