Representative Text

1 Jesus, only! Let the vision
In its glory pass away;
Vanish all the light Elysian!
'Tis enough if Jesus stay;

Refrain:
Jesus only! Jesus only!
Can my inmost soul now say:
Jesus only! Jesus only!
'Tis enough if Jesus stay.

2 When we leave the height of Tabor
For earth's valleys, dim and cold,
'Mid life's toil and care and labor,
Only Jesus can uphold. [Refrain]

3 When our path seems dark and lonely,
Comforts failing poor and sad,
Friends estranged, with Jesus only
We are rich, and full, and glad. [Refrain]
